Punchbowl: eco friendly, time-saving, free party invites!

Nina’s third birthday is just around the corner.  We are throwing her an intimate party at my mum’s house this year, mainly made up of a few friends of Nina’s, their parents and close family.

As always, anything that saves time ranks high on my list.  Customisable, digital, free party invites, that can be set up from the comfort of my sofa are definitely a winner!

I log on to the internet and have a little browse to see what website I can use.  The most appealing site which seems to have quite a bit of choice for kid’s birthday parties is Punchbowl.  Coincidentally, one of my mama friends had sent out party invites from the website and had recommended them to me.

The theme we have chosen for Nina’s party is a Hawaiian theme.  We thought it would be fun to have the children wear Lei flower garlands, and to have colourful summery decorations around the house on a winter day!

I found a really pretty design which fit my tastes exactly.

Nina's digital invite

As you can see it is so easy to customise the invite!  You can also change the font, text colour, size or alignment as well as the character spacing.

After you confirm the design, you are then taken to another page to add your guests:

Apart from entering their email address, guests can also be invited via social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.

There’s quite a bit of cool features to use:

Once you set up your options, you can send yourself a test invite.  If you like it, you are good to go!

Sending out the invite is as easy as ABC.  All it takes is the click of your mouse and your invites are delivered to your guests.

More reasons to love Punchbowl

  • The delivery of the invite is so pretty!  Your guest will receive an image of a closed envelope in your email.  Once they click on ‘open invite’, the envelope is virtually opened and the invite comes out of the envelope.  The envelope is so thoughtfully printed with a matching design on the inside too!
  • Once your guests RSVP you will receive an email notification. You can click on ‘view guest list’.  This will take you to the guest list page on Punchbowl (duh!?), but you can also view an easy to refer to RSVP status.  This is especially handy for when you have a sizeable guest list – a quick glance will let you know how many have confirmed, not confirmed, or are undecided.
  • Forgot an important detail?  The guest list page also has an option to contact everyone on the message board.  Lovely…
  • Last, but not least, you are also able to email ‘all guests’, ‘guests who have responded yes’, ‘guests who have responded no’, ‘guests who are undecided’ or ‘guests who have not responded’.  This is such a handy tool to have and can save you so much time and effort!

If you’re planning a party, I totally recommend this website!  Feel free to get in touch if you need any help with setting up your invites!
